Introduction/Background

WELCOME

The technological, cultural and social changes have enriched the way Morphological Science are taught, especially with the addition of computers and the Internet. Multimodal multimedia encourages a student-based interactive process of learning and improving retention.

Based on this paradigm, since 2000 we have developed HISTOLOGÍA VIRTUAL (Virtual Histology) project to aid in the study and teaching of Cellular Biology, Histology and Embryology using the Internet.

This project is intended for current students and graduates of Health Sciences and its access is free for the global student body.

Our project ‘Histología Virtual, para la enseñanza de la Biología Celular, Histología y Embriología mediante el uso de Internet’ (Virtual Histology for the teaching of Cellular Biology, Histology and Embryology using the Internet) has been lauded and awarded in the Tunisian Republic in 2005 by the WSA Expert Panel with a Special Mention in the Category Education, Chapter Argentina, at the World Summit on the Information Society, hosted by the International Telecommunication Union at the United Nations specialized organism.

Greetings.
